'무제‘ 작품의 시작은 2018년 [재생]이라는 대학 동기들과의 기획전에서 시작되었다.

'재생’이라는 단어에는 크게 5가지의 뜻이 있고, 그 중 ‘녹음·녹화된 테이프나 필름 등에 담긴 본래의 소리나 모습을 다시 들려주거나 보여 줌’이라는 정의를 선택했다.

표현방식으로 방송의 시작을 알리는 컬러바 위에 장막을 겹쳐 변형, 왜곡되는 이미지를 만들었다.

당시 나의 관심은 ‘진실을 보는가’ 였다.
몇 년간에 걸쳐 빠른 속도로 대한민국의 사회, 정치, 문화 전반에 문제점들이 들춰지고 변하고 있었다.
거짓은 불안하다. 흔들린다. 알려진다.
그 파장은 개인과 사회를 넘어 국가의 존재 여부를 흔든다.

우리가 보는 것은 종종 단순한 외부의 형상보다 더 깊은 의미나 숨겨진 메시지를 가질 수 있다.
나의 작품을 통해 보이는 현실을 더 깊게 이해하고 다양한 관점을 갖는 계기가 되길 바란다.
